Government ID, at least one qualification document, and a subject-level check by our review team. Nothing is publishable until all three clear — teachers can't be booked while a review is pending.
How do payments and refunds work?
Teachers raise a payment request against a class and you pay it through Razorpay from your payments page. Every transaction stays in your history, so a refund request always has a receipt attached to it.
When do teachers get paid out?
Paid classes settle on a T+2 cycle. Approved balances become claimable from the teacher payments page, and each withdrawal keeps its own status trail.
Can I teach on Shiksak part-time?
Yes. You publish only the slots you actually want to teach, and you can pause or reschedule them from your calendar without losing your verified status.
Are classes online, in person, or both?
Both. Teachers set their mode and location on their profile, and students can filter discovery by city and language before they ever start a conversation.
